Securing the things that matter.
How well do you feel your future is secured with the way things are in your life right at this very moment? Security is found in many forms; Personal security, physical security, financial security, and many more. Are you secure in all the ways that matter?
Many people ask this question, why? Why don’t I get chosen for a promotion? Why don’t I get the special assignments at work? Why do I seem to always be unhappy? Why do others seem to receive better reviews than me? Why?
Knock the chip off your shoulders, take a deep breath and succeed in your career whatever that may be.
Secure your place with the company you’re currently working at or a job that you may be seeking, ensure that you pride yourself in the work that you are doing, motivate others with a positive attitude and a drive to do a great job for your clients, citizens, or customers no matter where you work... Each person’s efforts to be better can reflect on the entire company or organization in showing anyone from the outside looking in that your company is a powerful place to work. It can also encourage customers to do business with a company that does have so many wonderful people as a part of the family that creates a great work place for them.
Being motivated, honest, and hardworking are just a few of the traits that you need to secure your future and your career. Showing up for your shift, punching a clock, being a warm body, and punching out just to receive compensation is no way to secure anything in life. Longevity in a career is derived from punching in everyday, excited to be there, loving your work, enjoying your time with your co-workers, and punching out at the end of the day, and knowing that you are doing something great for yourself and for your family each time you show up. Great things will happen when you aren’t asking “Why” and you’re asking “How”. “How do I advance, How do I succeed, How do I be the best employee owner that I can be?
Public Service is my career and by the grace of god, where I hope to retire. I proud myself as a member of the Public Safety Community and Family and I love the work that I do and the people that I work with, work for, and the communities I serve. I’m securing what matters. Family, Happiness, and a Career are the things that matter most to me, and I thank god for them.
